**The Opportunity**:
This opportunity is offering an **APS5 or APS6** position where you can be engaged on a 12-month labour-hire contract with a likely 12-month extension.

You will join the **Campaigns and Strategic Communications Branch** where you will have a strong focus on the International Day of People with Disability. This is a United Nations observed day intended to increase public awareness, understanding, and acceptance of people with disability.

This is an opportunity to:

- Work on a high-profile event in the government sector
- Develop engaging and meaningful content that will have REAL tangible impact
- Experience a multidisciplinary role where you won’t be pigeonholed into one area of communications
- Be part of a fast-paced and collaborative working environment

**The Role**:
**As part of your primary responsibilities, you will**:

- Develop and implement communication plans and strategies
- Liaise with policy and program areas to assess strategic communication needs
- Develop communication material for social media, web content, stakeholder products, videos, and accessible communication materials
- Monitor and report on the implementation of strategic communication initiatives

**The Ideal Person**:
To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in **Communications and/or Public Relations.**

You will also:

- Be a strong team player with a collaborative mindset
- Have experience developing and implementing communications strategies
- Have strong writing and stakeholder engagement skills

**Salary / Rate**:

- **APS5**: $48 - $55 per.hr + 10.5% super | **APS6**: $55 - $65 per.hr + 10.5% super
- **Work from home 2 days per week**:

- 12-month labour-hire contract with likely 12-month extension option
- Location: Greenway, ACT

- Hold a Baseline clearance or have the ability to obtain
