Data Compliance and Student Reporting (DCSR) is a key element of the University's central student services. DCSR acts as a specialised, central reference point for matters relating to the quality of student management data, monitoring compliance and other data reporting laws and regulations.
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic professional with a love for all things data to join a dynamic, vibrant and supportive team, committed to best practice and the highest standard of data integrity and compliance.
As Statutory Reporting Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the University meets its statutory reporting requirements. This encompasses holding primary responsibility for coordination, verification and confirmation of university data submitted to the Department of Education and other regulators. Where data amendments are appropriate, the Statutory Reporting Officer will communicate these to the appropriate internal and external stakeholders prior to reporting. You will also monitor compliance and other data reporting laws as well as policies, processes and requirements established by regulators to ensure accuracy of all student data.
**You will bring to the role**:
- Completion of a degree with relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to periodic pressures of the workplace, where large numbers of analyses need to be performed with a high degree of analytical initiative.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to function and interact as a team member.
- Demonstrated ability to provide guidance and communicate outcomes to others.
- Demonstrated effective written skills (correspondence, published material and preparation of reports) and a demonstrated ability to produce high quality material.
- Demonstrated time management and organisational skills including a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, proven scheduling and prioritising skills and an ability to coordinate projects of varying scope.
- Experience with and knowledge of the Technology One Student Management infrastructure.
- Well-developed numerical and/or financial calculation skills as well as an attention to detail and an appreciation for the need for accuracy and maintenance of data integrity.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience working in a higher education environment, particularly within the student lifecycle environment, and relevant knowledge of Tertiary Education related legislation, policies and procedures.
You will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role.
