**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
Structural Steel Work:

- Fabricate, cut, weld, and install structural steel components on residential and commercial job sites
- Read and interpret structural and architectural drawings
- Ensure steel components are aligned and secured according to project specifications
- Work with rigging equipment to safely position heavy steel members
- Perform layout and marking of steel sections for cutting, drilling, and fitting

Remedial Work:

- Carry out repair, modification, and reinforcement of existing steel structures
- Remove and replace damaged or corroded steel members
- Inspect and assess structural integrity of installed steel and recommend repairs
- Use grinding, gouging, and welding tools for precise remedial adjustments

General Duties:

- Operate welding and cutting equipment (MIG, TIG, stick) to assemble and repair steel structures
- Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and other trades on-site
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety policies and wear appropriate PPE
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment and properly store tools and materials
- Accurately complete work reports, time sheets, and material usage logs

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Boilermaker or Steel Fabricator, ideally with both residential and commercial project exposure
- Proficient in structural steel fabrication, erection, and welding techniques
- Ability to perform remedial steelwork with mínimal supervision
- Strong understanding of construction drawings and steel specifications
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to steelwork and construction sites
- High physical fitness and stamina, able to work at heights and in tight spaces
- Trade qualification in Boilermaking, Metal Fabrication, or Welding (Certificate III or equivalent preferred)
- White Card and relevant site safety certifications
- Driver’s license and own reliable transport

**Working Conditions**:

- Work on active construction sites (both new builds and refurbishments)
- Exposure to outdoor elements, noise, heights, and heavy materials
- May involve weekend or after-hours work depending on project timelines
- Requires use of safety equipment and adherence to site-specific safety protocols

**Compensation and Benefits**:

- Competitive hourly wage or salary based on experience and qualifications
- Overtime and travel allowance (where applicable)

Pay: $73,000.00 - $76,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Overtime

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
