Behaviour Support Practitioner
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Behaviour Support Practitioner to join The Centre for Positive Behaviour Support (CPBS). This position will give the suitable applicant the opportunity to further develop their professional and leadership skills by assisting with the supervision of Behaviour Therapists within the NDIS sector.

Position Purpose
Reporting to the Regional Clinical Manager, the Behaviour Support Practitioner will play a crucial role in conducting assessments, writing behavioural support plans and programs, assisting with the implementation of plans and supervision of Behaviour Therapists. The work is based on the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis and Positive Behaviour Support for children and adults in the home, community, and school/workplace settings.
**Skills and Experiences**:
Core Responsibilities
- Provide direct behavioural interventions in individual and group sessions
- Provide support and training to employees on clinical techniques
- Undertake Clinical Supervision of core Behaviour Support Practitioners
- Assist the Regional Clinical Manager as required
- Develop Functional Behavioural Assessments and Behaviour Analysis Support Plans
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with all key stakeholders
- Work with varying professionals including doctors, psychiatrists, speech therapists, and occupational therapists to develop and implement individualised client goals and checklists
Essential
- Bachelor Degree or post graduate qualifications related to Positive Behaviour Support eg. Psychology
- High level of oral and written communication skills including the demonstrated ability to prepare and finalise technical reports
- Demonstrated and effective time management skills including the ability to manage multiple competing priorities set in a face-paced environment
- Valid driver's licence
- Ability to attain all mandatory compliance checks including the NDIS Workers Screening Check, National Criminal History Check and any relevant State-issued WWCC/WWVP cards
- Willingness to complete introductory IABA training in Non-Linear Multi-element Positive Behaviour Support
