**THE ROLE**

This Project Officer role provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to homelessness system reform and strategic policy development to improve outcomes for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

This position will report to the Manager, Homelessness and Housing First Reform, in the Homelessness and Housing First Unit, located in the Homelessness and Housing Support Branch of Homes Victoria.

This role will contribute to the development of policy advice that sets the future directions for homelessness system reform. The functions of the role will also include, but are not limited to:

- Contributing to policy directions and new service models through research, analysis and working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Generating evidence-informed and innovative solutions to complex homelessness system and service issues
- Contributing to projects and initiatives to meet government homelessness priorities.

**ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE**

1. Contribute to projects to meet departmental objectives including:

- Assisting in research, analysis and implementation of complex projects based on defined outcomes and outputs
- Supporting the development and delivery of policy advice and practical projects within resourcing, timeline and budget parameters
- Contributing to monitoring and evaluating projects to ensure departmental objectives are met.

2. Assist in providing authoritative advice to internal and external stakeholders and in the preparation and presentation of reports, ministerial briefs, cabinet and agency submissions on complex matters.

3. Undertake research and investigations to contribute to the development of sound policy recommendations, and system/service solutions within resourcing, timeline and budget parameters.
