This Federal Government Department is responsible for implementing a national scheme that will support a better life for hundreds of thousands of Australians with a significant and permanent disability and their families and carers. Due to recent national growth, the team are seeking multiple Internal Review Officers to support the analysis and progression of review cases.

**Your new role**

As an Internal Review Officer, you will be part of the Internal Review Team (IRT) that delivers a streamlined approach to manage the participant experience of internal reviews and the Department’s reputation. You will work with participants to gather information regarding the nature and context of review requests, inform them about decisions, reviews and the appeals process, and undertake evidence-based decision making as prescribed under the relevant legislation and policies. You will also monitor and manage caseloads, ensuring internal reviews are completed within set timeframes, and contribute to quality improvement activities to enhance service delivery practice, processes and systems.

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be considered for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen and will demonstrate:

- Experience working in case management, internal reviews or roles where you have made decisions under legislation
- The ability to compile information to be disseminated in an appropriate manner
- A high level of communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Experience working in a complex and changing environment
