Baker Bleu is seeking to hire an experienced wholesale manager to assist in the wholesale and administration element of the business

About the Company:
Baker Bleu is Melbourne’s premier artisan bakery. We have a reputation for making unique artisan pastry and baking products using only the finest ingredients and dedication to the natural wonder of sourdough. We are suppliers to other high-profile restaurants such as, Cumulus Inc, Gimlet, Cutler & Co., Rockpool, Di Stasio Citta & Carlton Wine Room. We have an excellent reputation in our local communities and work with well-known charity groups in Melbourne.

About the role:
This role is vital in ensuring that our wholesale department is running smoothly, whilst maintaining great relationships with the chefs and restauranteurs of some of Melbourne’s best establishments.

A successful employee will be a team player with a keen interest in sourdough bread and pastry and a genuine passion for customer service.
- Previous experience working within a retail, food retail or hospitality environment.
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise.
- Certificate/ qualifications from recognised training institution.
- An attitude to learn and strong work ethic.
- Excel & Xero skills favoured but not required
- Basic administration skills
- Experience in a customer service role

The following responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Maintain a great relationship with our wholesale customers and willingness to help with their product needs.
- Thorough understanding of the Baker Bleu product range and the ability to communicate specials, bread varietals and the Baker Bleu production process with wholesale customers and beyond.
- Assist in production forecasting and quality control management.
- Assist the senior management team in day to day operations and planning within the business.
