**The opportunity**:
The Information Management Officer is responsible for the coordination of information governance activities, including (but not limited to) developing and implementing information policies, standards, and work practices, and managing information systems along with Electronic Document and Records Management Systems (EDRMS). The Information Management Officer supports the Information Management and Technology Team to achieve complex procedural, operational and administrative support across the Agency.
- Demonstrate knowledge and experience in managing information for compliance with legislation and/or standards, particularly Australian Government policies and best-practice standards.
- Proven capacity to communicate complex information persuasively and clearly to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and experience in the administration of EDRMS.
- Proven ability to collaborate, prioritise and deliver results both individually and in a team environment.
- Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and facilitating information governance frameworks, strategies, policies, procedures.
- Demonstrated experience in managing processes for an information or records management system, including maintaining data and user security.
- Highly effective communication skills (written and verbal) with demonstrated capability to develop and deliver high-level training materials, professional activities, and online content.
- Ability to interpret legislation and policies relevant to information and data management and provide advice on their implications.
- Demonstrated experience in providing initial technical support and assistance to staff.
- A current Australian driver’s licence (P2 or above) and a willingness to drive.
**What you will do**:
- Provide effective information management advice and support
- Support business improvement initiatives
- Facilitate information management planning and training
**Eligibility**:
To be eligible for employment in the APS and the department, applicants must:
- Be an Australian citizen or going to be granted Australian Citizenship before commencement. You may be asked to provide evidence of this.
- Undertake a pre-employment security assessment and subsequent security clearance. All staff are required to have a minimum baseline security clearance however some roles will require a higher level security clearance. If you are offered a role and do not have a current security clearance, we will work with you to arrange for this to be undertaken.
- Be medically fit to undertake the duties of the job.
**Notes**:
A merit pool may be established and used to fill future vacancies within 18 months from the date the vacancy was first advertised in the Gazette.
The department does currently offer flexible work opportunities for many roles. This vacancy is SA - Adelaide - Flinders St based, although flexible or remote work arrangements may be considered. Please reach out to the contact officer to discuss this further.
