A large steel processing and mining company is one of Australia's largest, leading manufacturers, suppliers and exporters of specialist steel which supports the mining industry. This business has sites all across Australia with head office in Europe. **What will you do?**

The Maintenance Fitter role completes breakdown repairs and preventative maintenance activities to all equipment and plant on site.

This will see you performing some of the following tasks:

- Complete breakdown repairs, preventative maintenance activities to all equipment on site;
- Take direction from the Maintenance supervisor and respond to requests from the production team as required, including breakdowns, machine change overs and machine fault finding;
- Respond to call outs and breakdowns in a timely manner;
- Conduct machine inspections/preventative maintenance activities and report back any faults identified;
- Ensure equipment is operational and available to meet production requirements of the business;
- Work with the production team to ensure products produced are of a suitable quality;
- Identify spare parts required and alert Maintenance supervisor when parts are not available

**Who are you?**

This role is suited to experienced maintenance tradespeople who are looking for a challenge as well as being afforded good responsibility and autonomy for their work. You will come with some of the following attributes:

- Mechanical trade qualifications
- Physically fit for manual tasks
- Strong communication and literacy skills
- Ability to work unsupervised to achieve targets and follow procedures
- Prior experience working in heavy industrial environments

Shift pays will be as per below + penalties and overtime.
- Day shift - $41 - 46/hr
- Afternoon shift - $47 - $53/hr
- Night shift - $53 - $60/hr
