**Our client is a highly successful large organisation, based in Brisbane. Reporting to Head of Safety in a small WHS team, this role will provide generalist support and guidance regarding Workplace Health and Safety across the organisation.**

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Some of the key responsibilities of this fixed term (12-month contact) full-time position include:

- Supporting the WHS team to deliver strategies and projects in accordance with the strategic plan.
- Maintaining business partnering with all business units, promoting the WHS strategic plan and associated projects and initiatives.
- Supporting behavioural-based safety and critical risk management programs.
- Contributing to the development of the WHS training matrix to establish and sustain appropriate minimum requirements to ensure employee competency.
- Facilitating safety management systems (SMS) continuous improvement and supporting the streamlining of SMS processes without losing WHS risk management effectiveness.
- Facilitating or participating in both internal and external audits.
- Leading or supporting investigations into significant incidents / near misses.
- Delivering WHS training packages.
- Supporting SMS and culture improvement and implementation projects across the business.
- Identifying risks, developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies and monitoring outcomes in line with the organisations risk management framework.

**ABOUT YOU**
- WHS Diploma as a minimum.
- Strong generalist WHS background
- Certificate IV in TAE
- ICAM or any other formally recognised investigation methodology training.
- Experience delivering and assessing WHS training (e.g. inductions and packages)
- Training administration background (training matrices, minimum training requirements, etc.)
- Competence in risk assessments
- Generalist experience
- Positive attitude and willingness to try something new and get things done.
