Public Sector People are working with a local council based in the Eastern Suburbs to recruit a Coordinator Asset Management for a 6 month temporary contract assignment.

As the Asset Management Coordinator, you will be working on a responsible for managing Council’s portfolio of infrastructure assets in accordance with Council’s Asset Management Strategy.

**Duties will include but not limited to**:

- To set long term direction for sustainable asset management practices including revising Council’s Asset Management Strategy and Plans based on agreed levels of service that meet the needs of the community.
- To ensure the asset register structure and asset hierarchy supports the ability for Council to make evidence based asset management decisions.
- Asset condition assessments are undertaken in line with service level commitments to continually improve data confidence and currency within the asset register, utilising both internal and consultant resources.
- To establish and maintain systems and processes that ensure that assets are correctly created, disposed and capitalised correctly within Council’s Asset Register. To ensure the asset register is correctly linked with the GIS system.

**Keep the Council and the Manager Integrated Transport informed on current sustainable transportation development and programs.**

**Requirements include**:

- Tertiary Degree in Civil Engineering or other relevant qualifications.
- Experience in leading small teams.
- Experience with asset information management, asset management systems and GIS Mapping.
