We are currently seeking a Technical Stores Administrator, based in Canberra. The position is responsible for conducting a range of administrative and physical tasks to support the accurate and efficient operation of the storeroom at CAF Australia’s rollingstock maintenance facility, within the Canberra Light Rail depot. Reporting to Procurement Manager.

We currently operate 16 hours a day and as such this role will operate on a rotating shift.

**Fundamental roles and responsibilities which are inherent to the position**:

- Review work orders for accuracy and completeness of information and follow up where information is inaccurate or missing, including raising Non-Conforming Requests (NCR’s) to suppliers using CAF Australia systems.
- Using CAF systems and Word/Excel, record and maintain accurate records for all work orders, including dispatches, inwards goods, faulty goods, quality and maintenance queries.
- Regularly maintain Calibration/Tools and Consumable records and arrange testing as required by CAF Australian’s Quality requirements.
- Regularly maintain collections and exchanges database to ensure information is continuously up to date.
- Record and maintain stock levels of materials and consumables to ensure that we do not go below minimum levels.
- Book out and return tools as required ensuring accurate and complete records.
- Ensure adherence to service level agreements with suppliers.
- Proactively and professionally communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Accept delivery of materials/inventory reporting on any discrepancies or damage and review orders for accuracy and completeness. This includes physically transferring goods to required location.
- Pack and supply goods as required.
- Maintain a clean and well organised storeroom.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with all Australian health and safety, quality and environmental legislative requirements.
- Ensure all work is carried out in a safe manner in line with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality consciousness.
- Advise management of any changes in materials, plant or processes which may impact on safety, quality or the environment, as well as any improvements that could advance CAF’s quality and environmental performance.

**Education**:
Tertiary qualified in an Admin or Technical/Mechanical discipline preferred but not essential.

**Work Experience**:

- Previous work experience involving record keeping/data entry.
- Strong administration background.
- Experience using a resource management system preferred but not essential.

**Additional requirements**:

- Strong communication, both written and oral.
- Reliable and able to work autonomously.
- Proactive approach to tasks with strong initiative.
- Intermediate Excel/Word and strong computer skills.
- Ability to accurately follow procedures.
- Planning and organisational skills.
- Capable of routinely lifting goods up to 15kg.
