Graduate Client Support Partner

Our graduate program, Graduate Pathways, aims to give you, a new graduate, an experience that meets you where you are in your learning, builds a community around you and supports your learning and development. Graduate Pathways offers you a role in an environment which is exciting, varied and builds a strong, competent, and confident workforce to deliver high quality services to the clients of The Benevolent Society.

**The program includes**:

- A high level of quality formal and informal support to orient you to your new role and profession as you integrate your university learning with your new role and deliver services to children and families.
- A monthly learning program consisting of group workshops and self-paced learning modules to grow your reflective practice and positively impact the quality of service you provide. The modules firstly support the development of your technical skills and then focus on specific knowledge areas such as domestic and family violence, ageing or child development.
- Short placements with other programs within The Benevolent Society to provide you with experiences in other roles, with different client groups and expose you to future career options whilst you gain a greater understanding of the whole service system your clients exit in.

In this intake we are seeking participants to join our Carers gateway service, as our Client support partners. The Carer Gateway is the national service for Carers, funded by the Australian Government. It includes a website and phone or online services for carers to access Emotional, practical and financial support. You will join our team to provide service coordination, conduct assessments, and carry out coaching and peer support activities for people through the Carer’s Gateway program. This position provides direct support to people who are acting as a carer to meet their diverse individual needs. The Client Support Partner works in partnership with carers to enhance their quality of life, connect them with support services, and develop their peer networks.

**What you need to succeed**

Successful Graduate Pathways participants will have:

- Completed all degree requirements by 31 December 2021 and eligible for graduation with a Bachelors or Masters in Social Work, Psychology, or relevant degree.
- A demonstrated ability to work independently or in a team to accelerate your own learning.
- Personal values which align with those of The Benevolent Society.
- Holistic strengths-based approach to achieve lasting change.
- Capacity to engage with people from all walks of life including the local Aboriginal community.
- High level of professional accountability and integrity and a belief that every person has potential.
- Ability to work flexible hours and participate on an on call / duty roster when required
- A current drivers licence, WWCC and willingness to complete a NDIS worker screening.
