**ROLE OVERVIEW**:

- Seasons is looking for an excellent cleaner to join our community at Waterford West on a part-time basis.
Reporting to the Community Manager, our cleaners provide quality cleaning which contribute to a safe, clean environment for residents and employees. This is a vital role within the Seasons Living Waterford West community to ensure excellent presentation standards and the health and happiness of our residents.We have a **Permanent Part-Time (PPT)** opportunity available at approximately 30 hours per week.

**Core Responsibilities**
- Provide cleaning services according to established cleaning schedules and duties lists.
- Mopping and vacuuming floors, damp dusting, waste management, restocking of supplies and assisting with laundry practices as required.
- Safe storage and use of cleaning agents, ensuring correct cleaning agents used in correct quantities for each task.
- Ensure standards of hygiene are maintained and risk of contamination is minimised under the infection control program.
- Contribute to a safe environment when undertaking duties ensuring equipment is not obscuring exits and passageways.
- Ensure all common community areas (e.g. reception, dining room, hallways etc) are kept neat, tidy and clean at all times. Assist in implementing and monitoring all menu and food production to ensure presentation, quality product and service standards are upheld.

Additional kitchen duties when supporting the chef/cook:

- Handle, sort, store and correctly distribute food items.
- Follow direction toward portion control, cooking standards and wastage.
- Ensure compliance with the relevant food and catering preparation regulations.
- Assist with cleaning/kitchen, disposal of rubbish and housekeeping duties as required.
- Follow and implement diet and care plan directives.

**Top Skills**
- Demonstrated high quality previous cleaning experience.
- Understanding of cross contamination risks and importance of hygiene when cleaning for people with low immunity conditions.
- Good working knowledge of WHS requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated understanding of the requirements of Material Safety Data Sheets.
- Interest in ongoing personal and professional development.
- Flexibility with hours when workload demands.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Empathy and understanding of the needs of residents’ and their families.

**Requirements**:

- Experience in an operational cleaning role.
- Unrestricted Australian working rights.
- Current national criminal check.
