Our Telecommunications team have an opportunity for an experienced Telecommunications Planner to support the Rail Systems Asset Manager in developing and implementing Asset Management solutions for Queensland Rail SEQ by developing plans and work programs.

**About you**
- Ideally you will have a strong background in Telecommunications and /or demonstrated experience in planning and scheduling procedures.
- Given the high level of autonomy and responsibility, it is essential that you have proven experience in planning projects, monitoring the performance against the program and implementing actions to ensure there are no coordination or interfacing problems.
- Your relationship development and management strengths will be key alongside your negotiation skills as you build partnerships with other disciplines to ensure telecommunication maintenance cycles are maximised while considering our common goal of best for business outcomes.
**Overview of responsibilities**
- To plan the delivery of strategic asset management maintenance/renewals activity in order to implement a rolling operational plan for Queensland Rail's Telecommunication Infrastructure. Then through these plans have input into developing the asset maintenance/renewals strategic plans for the region.
- To keep up to date of standards, acts, policies, regulations and industry standards to ensure Queensland Rail's Telecommunication maintenance/renewals assets are compliant and fit for purpose.
- Carry out desk top audits as required in order to comply with the asset management and project milestones through the utilisation of the integrated Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS) in relation to the planning of programmed traction activities for all assets within the SEQ network.
- Co-ordinate the development of, publishing and management of holistic work packages for inclusion into the Scheduled Corridor Access System (SCAS) closures for telecommunication assets/renewal including the publishing or reports to relevant Managers.
- Build partnerships between the Telecommunication Planning Group and all internal and external stakeholders to ensure the asset maintenance/renewals cycles are effectively and efficiently carried out through chairing and attending various planning forums to share and collate information and provide feedback to staff of asset management strategies within Queensland Rail.
- Comply with Queensland Rail's policies, procedures and programs in relation to safety requirements and Queensland Rail's values and behaviours
