**The Role**

Marcellin College, a leading Catholic boy's school, presents an opportunity to lead our Science Department as Learning Leader, commencing in the role on January 28, 2025.

**Key Success Factors**

In this role you will drive a collaborative culture of quality learning, student and staff growth and academic excellence, aligned with the College’s Catholic ethos, Marist Spirituality, Victorian Curriculum and Vision for Learning.

This role works closely with the Learning and Teaching Team and relevant staff to ensure the development and implementation of a holistic learning and teaching program that is reflective of innovative practices.

You will be someone who is able to model excellent teaching practices while building the capabilities of our learners through evidence-based approaches to teaching and learning. You will be expected to support the vision of the College as a learning community and to be involved in professional development and ongoing learning.

To be successful in this role you will bring relevant qualifications and contemporary teaching experience in your specialist teaching areas as well as:

- A willingness to uphold the vision and values of Marcellin College
- Role model and inspire a passion for Science in all students
- An understanding of contemporary teaching and learning pedagogies
- A commitment to working collaboratively as a part of a team
- Strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
- An ability to use ICT to facilitate and enrich student learning and engagement
- A commitment to pastoral wellbeing and meeting the social and emotional wellbeing needs of students
- Current VIT Registration
