Our client provides engineering, design and manufacturing services in five continents across the globe predominately within the oil and gas sector. Since their inception in early 1980’s they have continued to flourish with both their Australian and Perth team in particular growing exponentially.

They are currently looking for an
**Engineering Manager** to join their team. Leading the Marine Engineering business unit, the Engineering Manager will drive technical services and standards delivered by the Engineering team.

**Specific role responsibilities will include;**
- Developing the Engineering Team with sufficient resources and competency to deliver the required workscopes.
- Working with the UK Marine business as a conduit to transfer technology to the Australian business.
- Carry out desktop and physical engineering audits on potential new suppliers in the development of an Australian supply chain.
- Overall responsibility for the submission of Management Of Change packs in line with client procedures.
- Ensure Lloyds Naval Rules are implemented across all engineering activities.
- External - Interface with clientele to provide technical support and development of work
- In-house - Interface with company departments for scope planning and execution
- Review and approval of:

- Contract Data Requirement Lists
- Engineering Reports
- Engineering Calculations
- Engineering Drawings
- Provide engineering input to Contract Change Proposals.
- Management of document control submission process.
- Attendance at regular client meetings in line with agreed frequencies.
- Development of competency and provision of training to Engineers. Performance management of employees on a half yearly basis.

**Experience Required**
- Design and manufacturing knowledge of valves within the Oil & Gas and general valve industry
- Detailed knowledge of industry standards and specifications
- Detailed knowledge of Lloyds Naval Rules
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in computing, inclusive of MS Office and CAD.
- 10+ years’ experience in the energy and/or marine industry
- Experience in project management of large-scale supply scopes and provision of technical support to clients
- Demonstrated leadership experience and a experience and a high level of organisational skills
- Previous experience in a Marine environment
- Commitment to quality, health and safety, environment and meeting of stake holders
