Medical Receptionist

SIA Medical Centre is a family-owned general practice that has branched out over the last couple of years into 8 beautiful centers.

We have an exciting opportunity for a professional and flexible Medical Receptionist to join our busy multi-specialty practice located Footscray.

**A casual position is on offer, availability during the day however flexibility is desired.**

The successful applicant's primary duties will be front reception therefore caring approach towards patient is required.

**Requirements**:

- Medical receptionist experience (would be an advantage but not essential);
- Ability to work in a team and autonomously;
- Strong communication skills;
- Billing & process patient accounts;
- General administrative duties as required;
- Working knowledge of Medicare, DVA, Work Cover, HICAPS and Private Health Insurance billings;
- Experience of Pracsoft and Medical Director is preferable but not essential;
- Proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Word, MS Teams and Excel;
- Knowledge of medical terminology, and medical Billing is desired.
- Ability to handle a high pressure environment and understanding of privacy and confidentiality in a health care setting is a required.

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
