About the role

We are seeking 2 experienced staff members to join our team - 1 Medical Receptionist and 1 Booking Staff in Footscray, Victoria. These part-time positions are crucial in supporting our laboratory and our medical professionals and ensuring the smooth running of our specialist practice.

What you'll be doing

  • Providing comprehensive administrative support to our medical practitioners
  • Scheduling and managing patient appointments, ensuring efficient workflow
  • Maintaining detailed and accurate medical records and patient files
  • Handling patient inquiries, including booking appointments and providing information
  • Assisting with the preparation of correspondence, reports and other medical documentation
  • Liaising with other healthcare providers, insurers and external stakeholders as required
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant medical and administrative regulations

What we're looking for

  • Significant experience as a Medical Secretary or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting
  • Minimum 1-2 years of medical administrative experience is required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, medical staff and colleagues.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently
  • Proficient in using Zedmed and general office applications Zedmed experience is preferred, with training available for suitable candidates
  • Proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality and attention to detail
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a collaborative approach to teamwork
  • Flexible working hours between 8:30 am to 5:30pm
