We are currently looking for an experienced** Procurement Officer**to oversee and facilitate the purchasing and expediting of materials and consumables that support SIMPEC’S strategic business objectives.

This will be a full-time position working in our head office based in Applecross.

**The Role**
- Carry out Procurement process from receipt of enquiry until completion of order, including delivery, receipt and payment.
- Preparation and issue of any Request for Quotations (RFQ’s).
- Preparation of commercial evaluations.
- Facilitation of supplier information (including setup of trading accounts), inventories and maintaining accurate records.
- Building strong relationships with suppliers to maximise business contributions

**About You**
- Minimum 3-5 years industry experience in a similar role.
- Technical and practical knowledge of all phases of procurement and expediting processes.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to build positive stakeholder relationships
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Pronto highly regarded
- Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work autonomously within a collaborative team, be proactive and use initiative.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills, attention to detail and work well under pressure.
