Adelaide Venue Management (AVM) is South Australia’s leading provider of venue management services. It is responsible for operating three of Adelaide’s most iconic venues: Adelaide Convention Centre, Adelaide Entertainment Centre, and Coopers Stadium, in addition to functions and events at The Drive.

Home Ground Café is our bustling café and bar, serving top quality coffee, fresh food and providing excellent service in a stunning riverside setting. We are seeking an experienced Barista to join our close-knit team and take our coffee offering to the next level. **The Role**

As the Home Ground Barista, you will take ownership of the coffee experience, ensuring exceptional quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. You will work closely with the Home Ground Management team to uphold the highest standards of coffee preparation and service while mentoring junior team members.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and specialty beverages
- Dial in espresso, adjust grind settings, and maintain shot consistency
- Steam and texture milk to perfection for various coffee styles
- Create latte art where appropriate
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coffee beans, roasts, and flavour profiles
- Manage stock levels and ensure seamless coffee service
- Assist with on-the-job training to ensure other team members are meeting the coffee service standards
- Work collaboratively with the wider food and beverage team
- Ensure correct equipment handling, storage, and cleaning procedures
- Adhere to food safety (HACCP) and SA Liquor Licensing Laws

**Skills you will bring to the role**:
✔Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Barista
✔Strong knowledge of coffee preparation and brewing techniques
✔Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards
✔Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and professional attitude
✔Punctual, reliable, and a team player
✔Must be available for a minimum of 4 mornings per week, including weekends
✔Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification
✔Barista accreditation preferred
