Position Summary

The Assistant Executive Housekeeper assists the Executive Housekeeper in ensuring that our guest accommodation, uniform/laundry and all public areas front and back of house are maintained with the highest level of cleanliness and comfort. The individual's main responsibility is in managing the daily operations of the department and assumes responsibility for the Department in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper.

The Role

Ensure all Housekeeping Employees deliver the brand promise and provide exceptional guest service at all times as per the Forbes Standard and guide.
Handle all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily.
Keep informed of VIP and special attention guest's reservations and ensure that the preferences are well communicated within the team.
Be responsible for the inventory of guest supplies, cleaning supplies, printing and stationery for the rooms, linen etc. And to check that they are handled and stored correctly.
To liaise with the external laundry, outsourcing agency and Engineering Department to ensure the smooth flow of linen supplies and repair work.
To liaise with the Front Office and Culturist Team on anticipation guest check-ins, check-outs, ensuring rooms are ready in a timely manner.
Support the Executive Housekeeper in overseeing the daily operation of the Housekeeping Department and ensures that hotel's policies, departmental standards are strictly adhered to.
Plan, develop, implement and monitor Workplace Health and Safety procedures in order to comply with the relevant legislation.
Coordinate with Quality Assurance Manager and L&D Manager in implementing periodical Standard Operating Procedure and Audit testing and training.

Talent Profile

Diploma/College Degree preferably in Hotel/Hospitality Management.
3-5 years' experience in similar role in luxury hotels/resorts with rotational managerial roles in Rooms Operations.
Excellent communicator with strong leadership and personable character. Passionate in building strong guest relations
Strong knowledge in Property Management System (e.g., OPERA)
Very good command of written and spoken English
Valid working rights in Australia
