Physiotherapy Assistant

**Job Description**:
**About the role**:
Your role will be to enhance the quality of life and independence of our elderly, community based customers. You will facilitate tailored restorative and rehabilitative programs with specific instructions from our Physiotherapist, supervise individualized in-home customer programs including falls prevention education, functional retraining as well as strength and balance exercises.

You will be comfortable driving around Western Sydney on a daily basis and visiting elderly customers in their own homes to roll out the program. Reporting to a Clinical Team Leader (dotted line to Physiotherapist), the level of required supervision will depend on your experience and skill.

We can offer you full training and ongoing continuous professional development. From time to time you may be required to visit our Bella Vista office for meetings, training and business functions.

Other responsibilities include:

- Provide consistently high quality clinical support of customer’s allied health needs such as reviewing mobility equipment and requirements
- Work to professional and safety standards as well as identify and assess risks
- Assist with the overall delivery of holistic and high quality in-home care services
- Produce accurate and professional case notes in line with industry and compliance frameworks
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of KinCare’s values and compliance framework

**About you**:

- Cert IV in Allied Health Assistance
- Demonstrated experience working with Physiotherapists and/or facilitating exercise programs in Aged Care
- Ability to complete activities within scope of practice and seek assistance when required
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication, team work and customer service skills
- Demonstrated experience with facilitating exercise programs
- Full Driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
- The ability to be flexible, resilient and good time management skills
- Genuine interest in working in the community and with the elderly, previous experience an advantage
