**What you will do**:
The Additional Educator will assist in the day-to-day operation of the service. Adhering to the _National Quality Standards,_ you will be responsible for engaging with children, supervision, serving meals, housekeeping, participating in group time and keeping a safe work environment for staff and children. The position is a funded position, where the intention is to increase the educator to child ratio in the care environment to support the inclusion of children with additional and ongoing high support needs, alongside their typically developing peers.

**Selection Criteria**:

- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent)
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with children, families and staff
- A good level of physical fitness
- Knowledge of EEO practices, WH&S policies and environmental sustainability principles and procedures
- Maintain a valid paid Working with Children Check through the Office of the Children's Guardian
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Identify and Respond to Children at Risk certificate (desirable)
- Commitment to inclusive practices and child protection
- Understanding of occupational health and safety and the _National Quality Standard_
- Ability to adhere to all Big Fat Smile policies and procedures
