About the Role
- Manage an allocated research workload in accordance with established clinical and departmental protocols, policies and procedures; utilising evidence-based practice and ethical standards, demonstrating a high level of independence, clinical judgement and complex decision making.
- Lead research/clinical trial monitoring and auditing internally and externally as required to meet regulatory and scientific requirements.
- Actively participate in professional and multidisciplinary team meetings relating to research completion, including provision of high-level advice and feedback in relation to research process.
- Demonstrate high-level organisational skills, integrity, and discretion in dealing with confidential information, including independent management of complex and/or non-routine research elements.
- Manage research tasks using effective time management and independent prioritisation skills, including clinical and non-clinical responsibilities and the maintenance of accurate patient records and documentation.
- Provide a high level of autonomous leadership in clinical decision-making regarding participant consent, recruitment and care co-ordination within the research project.
- Provide direction, advice and leadership with regards to generation of research ideas, completion of research related tasks and dissemination of research findings.
- Develops Research Protocols, including preparation, submission to committees, analysis and manuscript preparation. Prepares and submits manuscripts (trial results, case reports, reviews, book chapters etc) for presentation and publication
