**Business Support Officer (Secretarial and Administration)**
This position is responsible for providing a range of administrative and customer service tasks to ensure effective and efficient delivery of departmental operations to meet the needs of the Council's residents and ratepayers.
This position is from Monday to Friday start time and end time at 08:00 am until 04:15 pm with an unpaid 45-minute lunch break and is located in Caboolture, Queensland.
**Key Responsibilities and Outcomes**:
- Provide a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers, across the full range of activities undertaken by the Department.
- Provide a range of administrative support through the triaging and actioning of a suite of customer requests across the department, including coordination of responses to Councillor and Mayoral requests.
- Provide administrative and customer support to specialist areas including cemeteries and immunisation, which may at times require work in different locations.
- Undertake the end-to-end processing of permits, licences and registrations.
- Prepare a range of materials including PowerPoints, flow charts, presentations, spreadsheets statistical returns and the like.
- Undertake a range of day-to-day operational financial and purchasing practices to support the needs of the department, including maintaining stock of stationery and uniforms.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders to increase the effectiveness and profile of the department.
**Knowledge & Experience**
- Sound level of communication skills, including verbal, written and presentation skills, and ability to deal with sensitive information, in order to meet the needs of the department stakeholders.
- Strong level of customer focus and attention to detail whilst working in a fast-paced team environment.
- Solid level of experience in working as a team member, whilst supporting the broader team outputs.
- Well-developed skills in contributing to building a positive team culture.
**Qualifications**
- Certificate II in Business Administration or other similar field.
- Current C class driver's licence.
