Engage and support young people and their families in navigating mental health services**

Orygen Youth Health (OYH), a program of The Royal Melbourne Hospital's NorthWestern Mental Health Service, provides specialist mental health services for young people aged 15 to 24 and focuses on providing early intervention to young people with severe and complex mental illness. OYH also works alongside Orygen, the National Centre of Excellence in Youth Mental Health which operates four primary mental health care headspace services in the catchment area
- Orygen HOPE is an emerging service to support young people accessing support services who have been experiencing deliberate self-harm, suicidal thoughts and/or suicide attempts. The development of a child and youth HOPE service is a key recommendation in the expansion of the HOPE program by the Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health System.**Your new role**
- Develop specialist knowledge of referral pathways and services within the NWMH catchment to support service linkages and enhance continuity of care
- Maintain high levels of clinical documentation and communication pathways
- Provide information to enable improved access to other services (such as general practice, other health specialists and associate clinical services, consumer or carer peer support, carer respite, the NDIS and other social welfare agencies
- Manage a reduced case load of young people, providing direct mental health interventions and service linkages

**About You**
- High level of reliability and professional conduct with a passion for youth mental health
- A current Victorian Driver's licence, and ongoing ability to use this form of transport
- Understanding of legislation pertinent to the provision of mental health services
- Formal qualifications in Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Registered Psychiatric Nursing
