Skyspan is a western Sydney based, Australian owned company and we are looking for a Glazier/ Aluminium Installer Fabricator. Skyspan is a fast-growing Natural Lighting company looking to expand the installation team. New members are given on the job training with our products and services, and the ability to develop and grow their skills in all types of construction from commercial to high end residential builds.

YOUR DUTIES IN THIS ROLE WILL INCLUDE:

- Installing skylights, flashings, glass floors & glazing glass roofs on construction sites.
- Fabricating skylights frames, flashings & glass roof skylights where applicable in Skyspan's production facility.
- Reading and understanding production & site documentation.
- Measuring and fitting new glass. (Includes site measures).
- Glazing & sealing glass to make everything watertight.
- Caulking around the perimeter of glass to ensure water and air rightness.
- Prepping units for glazing with silicone and or glazing tape and packers.
- Working with engineered oversize glass.
- Using overhead cranes, glass suction lifters and suction cups to lift or crane glass into position on site and in production facility.
- Travel to site predominately in Sydney metropolitan.
- Travel/ FIFO to site in NSW regional areas & Interstate if interested.
- Providing customer service and a positive experience to all customers.
- Liaising with production team and other departments as required.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

- No qualifications are required for this role, whilst industry experience is preferred, it’s not essential.
- Must have a valid white card.
- Preferable to have minimum 1 years experience working on roofs or glazing.
- Must have a hard-working committed attitude, be punctual and reliable
- Additional tickets favourable (EWP, Working at Heights, Glazin License)

TO BE SUCCESSFULL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE:

- Good literary skills in both written and have verbal English.
- Sufficient mathematical ability.
- Be a problem solver.
- Good organisational and planning skills.
- Knowledge of construction/building, preferably Roofing & Glazing or be able to demonstrate the ability to learn.

DESIRABLE ELEMENTS IN THIS POSITION ARE:

- Own license.
- Non-smoker.
- Experience in construction industry.
- Understand sheet metal manufacturing process.

Your salary package is negotiable based on experience and skill base.

Junior Salary: From $60,000.00 - $80,000 per year plus vehicle

Senior Salary: From $80,000.00 - $100,000 per year plus vehicle

- Overtime available if or when required
- No weekends
