**About the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations**
We enable access to quality skills, training and employment services to support Australians find secure work in fair, productive and safe workplaces - supporting individuals and our nation to prosper.
**The Role**
We produce content for a range of mediums and channels, including:
- The WorkforceAustralia.gov.au website (both public-facing and authenticated content)
- The Workforce Australia app and Supervisor app
- The website Digital Assistant
- Knowledge base articles used by call centre staff
- Knowledge management (internal knowledge content).
As one of our content designer/writers, youll be a part of a dynamic, high-performing team working to make a difference in peoples lives.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
Responsibilities of the APS Level 6 Content Designer/Writer may include:
- Designing, planning and writing best practice digital content, in accordance with the Australian Government Style Manual, including accessibility and readability standards
- Ensuring content meets business and user needs and is easy to understand
- Using and contributing to departmental style guides, content patterns, strategies and policies
- Developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Using evidence, data and research to improve content and optimise the user experience
- Working with multidisciplinary teams in an agile project environment, using Azure Dev Ops to manage work
- Preparing documents, presentations and talking points and participating in workshops and planning events to develop requirements and features
- Working autonomously and as part of a team, providing support to content leads, channel leads, director and mentoring less experienced staff.
