**The Position**
- We are looking for an experienced
- **Facilities Manager** to provide leadership and expert knowledge for our NSW Mental Health Service. As the head of the Facilities team, you will be responsible for the continued and successful operation of the Hospital sites and overall management of all operational aspects of the facilities, while being empowered to lead and develop your facilities team, with the support of other professional teams.
- St John of God Burwood Hospital is located in Sydney’s inner west and has continued to provide personalised private mental health care in a supportive environment for over 60 years. St John of God Richmond Hospital is a private mental health hospitalin North Richmond, northwest of Sydney, providing comprehensive and holistic mental health care services in a tranquil setting on a 10ha historical site. With a complete redevelopment of the Richmond facility commencing in the very near future, this is an opportunity to be involved as a key member of the project steering committee and having a direct influence on the construction and operational requirements of a modern, fit for purpose facility. In addition to the brand new, the site also houses the 125 year old hertitage style Belmont House, to challenge your skills.
- Working as the
- **Facilities Manager **you will ensure a safe, comfortable and attractive environment for all stakeholders (clients, staff, etc.) consistent with St John of God Health Care’s policies to safeguard building, plant equipment and surroundings, complying with the relevant statutory regulations and legislation. You will provide afterhours emergency support to the hospital re maintenance issues when on-call.
- A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
- Engineering or other relevant formal qualifications.
- Demonstrated experience in Facility Management in a commercial, hospital or Health Care establishment.
- A demonstrated ability to coordinate and manage the logistics and operational requirements of a health care facility
- A positive attitude to change and the ability to work under pressure
- Demonstrated management and leadership skills, including the ability to manage, inspire and motivate team members.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to relate to others in a professional manner.
- Excellent time management, productivity, attention to detail and prioritisation skills.
- Computer skills, proficient in the use of standard office software packages and engineering works management software.
- Proven capacity to innovate and implement change.
- NSW Drivers licence and willingness to travel and work between both hospital sites, providing appropriate level of service to each.
