**Piano Tutor**

Toowoomba Grammar School is looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Piano Tutor to join our team of highly skilled and established musical tutors. TGS staff are passionate about boys’ education and providing an inspiring and broad curriculum for all boys informed by best practice and evidence.

**About Toowoomba Grammar School**

Toowoomba Grammar School was founded in 1875 and is a member school of the Great Public Schools Association of Queensland (GPS). It is an independent non-denominational day and boarding school for boys with a total enrolment of 1,200 from Preparatory to Year 12. There are approximately 300 boarders in the School coming predominantly from throughout Queensland, Northern New South Wales and the Northern Territory. The School’s campus covers 20.5 hectares and is located one kilometre from the centre of Toowoomba. **About the Position**

As a Piano Tutor, you will deliver high-quality, differentiated tuition to students of all ages and abilities. You’ll be supported by our in-house resources and equipment, though many tutors also bring their own materials to enrich the learning experience. Lessons are tailored to each student’s unique goals and learning style, reflecting our ethos of bespoke, individualised music education.

This is an independent contractor role starting at approximately 5 hours per week, with strong potential to grow as student demand increases.

If you're passionate about empowering students through music, bring a positive and encouraging approach to learning, and hold a recognised qualification such as Bachelor of Music, or Associate of Music (AMusA or equivalent), with experience as a piano tutor, we’d love to hear from you.

**Selection Criteria**:
You will be able to demonstrate your ability and commitment to the following:

- Demonstrated experience in piano instruction, with a strong understanding of technique, repertoire, and pedagogy
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching students of all ages and abilities
- Display highly developed communication skills and having the ability to communicate well with parents, students and staff.
- Being flexible and dynamic in your teaching of children so to address the individual needs of students.
