Toowoomba Grammar School is looking for a passionate andknowledgeable Piano Tutor to join our team of highly skilled andestablished musical tutors. TGS staff are passionate aboutboys’ education and providing an inspiring and broadcurriculum for all boys informed by best practice andevidence.

Toowoomba Grammar School was founded in 1875 and is a memberschool of the Great Public Schools Association of Queensland(GPS). It is an independent non-denominational day andboarding school for boys with a total enrolment of 1,200 fromPreparatory to Year 12. There are approximately 300 boardersin the School coming predominantly from throughout Queensland,Northern New South Wales and the Northern Territory. TheSchool’s campus covers 20.5 hectares and is located onekilometre from the centre of Toowoomba. About the Position

As a Piano Tutor, you will deliver high-quality, differentiatedtuition to students of all ages and abilities. You’ll besupported by our in-house resources and equipment, though manytutors also bring their own materials to enrich the learningexperience. Lessons are tailored to each student’s uniquegoals and learning style, reflecting our ethos of bespoke,individualised music education.

This is an independent contractor role starting at approximately5 hours per week, with strong potential to grow as student demandincreases.

If you're passionate about empowering students through music,bring a positive and encouraging approach to learning, and hold arecognised qualification such as Bachelor of Music, or Associate ofMusic (AMusA or equivalent), with experience as a piano tutor,we’d love to hear from you.

Selection Criteria

You will be able to demonstrate your ability and commitment tothe following:

- Demonstrated experience in piano instruction, with a strongunderstanding of technique, repertoire, and pedagogy
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and agenuine enthusiasm for teaching students of all ages andabilities
- Display highly developed communication skills and havingthe ability to communicate well with parents, students andstaff.
- Being flexible and dynamic in your teaching of children soto address the individual needs of students.

Candidates must have an active Australian Business Number (ABN)and the ability to invoice TGS families directly.
