Lead Product Designer

**About the role**:
As a Lead Product Designer, you'll have a growth mindset that fuel our growth. The role covers product design from user research through to delivery but has a strong focus on optimisation and experimentation. You will also help shape our products' future and contribute towards the future vision of how our products exist within the broader hipages tradie ecosystem.

You'll be part of a triad, along with the product manager and tech-lead so will be expected to contribute to the prioritisation of work based on your knowledge of our customers and expertise. You'll work with senior stakeholders, keeping them up to date on the insights discovered through your discovery work and helping them understand the context of your design choices. You'll work with the product manager and data analyst in your squad to design experimentation strategies that help the team learn and achieve their goals.

**How you will add value**:

- Partnering the Product Manager of your squad, set the direction for the discovery and experimentation strategies that build your squad's learning velocity and help us reach our growth targets
- Using your expertise to advise when to iterate, pivot, kill or scale an experiment
- Help us develop the roadmap for jobs growth squad that will help us
- Working with your squad and stakeholder to create a vision and plan the Jobs Growth roadmap
- Empowering the designers in your tribe through proactive support and mentorship
- Sharing your expertise with other designers and helping us improve the depth and quality of our design practice
- Inspire your squad through data-centred storytelling and brilliantly creative designs
- Facilitate workshops with internal stakeholders and customers to aid alignment and discovery

**About you**:

- You're an established senior or lead product designer with commercial experience in UX / product design/experience designing for web and mobile
- You have experience leading major product initiatives or projects that have delivered demonstrable value for your customers or clients
- You've worked on products with complex flows and business logic, making them feel simple and intuitive
- Your experience spans the full spectrum of design activities, from research design to post-release optimisation. Passion for experimenting is a must.
- You're a proponent of hypothesis-based design and testing
- Experience with SaaS products or two-sided marketplaces would be an advantage
