**The Opportunity**

Berry Street Education Services provide a range of educational programs across Victoria including a multi-campus school, VCAL and other specialist education and outreach programs which support disengaged students. Education Support Services in the South East Victoria region provide trauma-informed educational support to young people, most of whom live in residential care and have complex needs. These young people are usually experiencing difficulties in their education setting or require assistance to re-engage with education.

This is a hybrid and a non classroom based role.

**Key Responsibilities**

The Education Case Manager for CIRC provides assertive outreach, educational planning, expert advisory and school enrolment support for young people living in residential care who are struggling to engage with learning. The delivery requires a flexible, diverse and creative approach to meet the individual needs of students with complex needs and behaviours. This role works collaboratively with other education workers, government departments and youth workers in a wide variety of settings to obtain optimum outcomes for students.

**About You**

We are seeking an enthusiastic Case Manager with an ability engage with Care Team Meetings and other professionals while effectively engaging with and teaching a diverse range of students who have multiple and complex needs and behaviours. You will have the ability to connect well with students, as well as the capacity to advise on best practice to support your students in learning.

An independent, self-motivated, flexible, and informed approach to teaching and case managing is essential for this work.

This position is desirable with a qualification in Education, with a current VIT registration, however experience in the Out of Home Care, Special and or Alternate education will be considered.
