An exciting opportunity is available for an NDIS Accounts Specialist to manage, mentor and oversee the day to day running of our national operations and provide supervision and support to a team of up to 70 admin staff and more than 600 disability support workers.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Key aspects of the position include (though are not limited to) the following**:
As an NDIS Accounts Specialist, you will have the following key responsibilities:

- Create invoices in Xero and send them to Plan Managers
- Claim participant funding through the NDIS portal with correct item numbers
- Understand NDIS Plans and Medical reports including OT reports
- Manual payment requests via the NDIS portal
- Understand Centrepay via Centrelink
- Create SIL Quotes and Roster of Care
- Create Schedule of Supports
- Follow up invoices with Plan Managers daily
- Follow up with any complaints
- Any other reasonable responsibilities as directed

**Essential Skills/Knowledge**:

- Extensive knowledge of NDIS and the disability sector.
- Well-connected in the disability sector.
- Extensive experience managing the operation of a similar business
- Experience in managing internal and external stakeholders to achieve set objectives.
- Proven organisational skills, and ability to multi-task and prioritize workloads.
- Skills in conflict resolution, change management and financial management.
- Experience in managing a team and developing a team for superior performance through attention to detail.
- Excellent written and oral skills, public speaking, and presentation capabilities.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, flexibility, patience and ability to relate well to all levels of society that Cocoon Group interacts with.
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office.

**Essential Eligibility Criteria**:

- Understand all the NDIS item numbers
- Understand STA, MTA and SDA.
- Bookkeeping or accounting qualifications and experience
- Excellent communication skills (clear and concise written and verbal communication)
- Ability to prepare reports and undertake evaluation tasks
- Well-developed skills for using technology and online reporting tools
- Critical thinking and ability to adapt to an ongoing changing environment

**Useful Experience**:

- NDIS Plan management to holistically understand NDIS Plans.

**Mandatory requirement**

Please note that the successful applicant will be required to hold or be willing to obtain a **National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) clearance card, Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check and National Police check**. You must also have the **NDIS Worker Orientation** certificate completed and have a current **Unrestricted Driving Licence**.
