The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Research Ethics and Governance Officer to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 10 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Coordinate the Human Research Ethics Committee and provide timely and high-level coordination, communication and administrative support
- Liaise with staff and researchers on technical and operational issues, interpret research policy and legislation
- Provide high level administrative and management support to stakeholders
- Deliver advice and support to researchers on resource and operational matters that are critical to the needs of the research study being undertaken
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge in the area including new developments, legislation and industry standards

About you

**To be successful in this position you will require**:

- While not mandatory, a relevant tertiary qualification in an appropriate (health science) discipline and demonstrated experience (clinical, health, research or ethics knowledge) would be well regarded
- It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against COVID-19
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed

Salary
- Temporary full time (6 months, with the possibility of extension)
- Base salary ranging from $4 175.50 - $4 472.70 per fortnight

The office works in close collaboration with our workforce and external stakeholders in the region - Bond University; Griffith University; Southern Cross University; as well as national and international institutions.
