An exciting opportunity exists for a VPS6 Manager role in the Asset Management Branch.
The Asset Management Division has been established to bring together the broad spectrum of asset management activities for schools; build a strong and shared focus on customer service and delivery; and implement initiatives to strengthen our asset management approach. The Asset Management Branch contributes to this vital role by equipping schools with the information, tools and capability to effectively mange their facilities and fulfill their asset management responsibilities. This Manager role will work across the Asset Management Division to support the strategic implementation and coordination of our asset management programs. This role will lead a small team and provide direction and advice to other teams, but is also be expected to be hands on and involved in all stages of the development of work from planning through to implementation and review.This will be critical in ensuring that we are effectively supporting school asset management and achieving organisational goals, helping deliver a system that moves from a reactive towards a more planned and preventative approach to maintenance. **Key responsibilities for the Manager role include**:

- Coordination of cross-Division activities, including reporting, business planning and stakeholder enquiries
- Oversee and facilitate the strategic implementation of Division programs, including the second cycle of the Asset Management Reform program
- Development of business processes, communications collateral and other documentation to support the delivery of key programs
- Planning and implementing effective change management practices to ensure the successful rollout of new or changing programs
- Facilitating a joined up case management approach for complex and cross-organisation issues
- The provision of expert and informed advice to key internal and external stakeholders, including the Minister's Office and VSBA Executive team
- To act as a ‘thought leader' for the VSBA and help shape policy creation and development. Reviewing and analysing key asset management issues to identify improvement opportunities and manage risks
- Supporting the design and implementation of business improvement opportunities and reforms
- Taking a leadership role in the development of a positive and collaborative work culture across the Branch and broader VSBA- Other duties as instructed by the Director to support the achievement of organisational goals.For more details regarding this position please see attached position descriptions.
