**About the role**
TAFE NSW is looking for individuals with current **industry experience** and knowledge in **Community Services** **or related areas** **to join our team of teachers.
The role of the TAFE Teacher as a professional educator is to **help, construct, guide** and **enhance** the educative process. The teacher delivers educational programs and **facilitates learning**, enabling students to **achieve their desired outcomes**.
We have located these positions at Bankstown and Granville. However, for the right applicant, these roles could be based at any campus location in Western Sydney Region.
**Your Day to Day**
- Teach students face-to-face in classrooms and online
- Support students 1:1
- Issue, mark and provide feedback on assessments
- Student administration, including marking registers and recording results
- Maintain relationships with local industry and employers
- Stay current with industry practice
To be considered for this position, you will need to meet the following essential requirements:
- Hold a recognised Degree in any of the following Community Services areas; Social Work, Community Services/Welfare Work, Social Science, Youth Work, Alcohol and other Drugs, Mental Health and Counselling or other practice-based relevant community services discipline.
- Have a minimum of three years post-qualification experience in industry relevant to your qualifications, some of which has been gained no longer than 5 years previously.
- Hold a Certificate IV TAE40116 or equivalent, or higher qualification in adult education
- Demonstrated preparedness to continue to develop your Vocational Education and Training (VET)
- Have a demonstrated commitment to quality customer service and demonstrated ability to contribute to a team environment.
- Have proven strengths in problem solving and change management.
