**Description**:
Area Coordinator Mandurah
This position is responsible for ensuring all Participant support, compliance & documentation requirements are met, and the services provided are in-line with Adelphi Living Policy and Procedures & the Disability Services Act 1993.
The primary objectives of this role
To support Adelphi Living in their delivery of services to eligible NDIS Participants ensuring they have opportunities to develop and maintain a valued lifestyle as per their individual plan.
Day to day operations that assist the Executive Director & Service Manager in the ongoing and developing care and support outcomes, through the provision of SIL supports along with the efficient operation in the SDA homes.
Job Requirements
Support the Executive Director & Service Manager
Establish effective communications with all stakeholders, ensuring privacy & confidentiality.
Identify and record deficiencies in tasks, reporting these to Service Manager
Contribute to a positive workplace culture.
Service provision & supporting workers.
Assist where requested with fortnightly rosters for support workers and replacement of daily staff, due to leave if required.
Provide on call rostering and support services out of normal working hours.
Provide leadership and where applicable mentoring to Support Workers.
Manage Support Worker communications.
Ensuring Support Worker documentation is completed and submitted as required i.e. daily, monthly.
When required, provide supports to Participants as per their plan.
Manage Restrictive Practices
Ensure Support Workers provide effective supports without employing unsanctioned restrictive practices.
Identify any restrictive practices and report to Adelphi Livings Positive Behavior Support Panel.
Accurately coordinate administrative tasks for, but not limited to:
Progress notes, assessments, communication books, medication forms and charts.
Company vehicle use
Coordinating house operations
Authorise the food / supplies orders for each house on a weekly basis.
Monitor Participants for changes in health and support requirements, ensuring any changes are reported to the Service Manager.
Carrying out spot checks on the condition and cleanliness of houses.
Oversee the processing of all receipts, credit card expenses and food orders, before forwarding to accounts.

Perform duties according to this position description, funding guidelines and Adelphi Living’s Policies and Procedures
Contribute positively to the team and participate in team building opportunities where appropriate.

Support and promote the work of Adelphi Living
Implement Adelphi Living Feedback and Complaints Managements and other community feedback mechanisms
Quality Policies and Procedures
Adhere to and demonstrate commitment and understanding of Adelphi Living’s mission and vision
Adhere to and demonstrate commitment to Adelphi Living’s Quality System
Demonstrate adherence and commitment to meeting all key result areas of position description
Ensure all activities comply with NDIS & funding bodies’ policy and relevant legislative & regulatory requirements.
**Skills and Experiences**:

NDIS worker screening
Current First Aid and CPR certification
Qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
**Qualifications**:
Preferred APHRA Registered or Enrolled Nurse
Preferred Mental Health qualifications or relevant experience
Current WA Driver's License
**Essential**:
Experience working with providing daily supports.
Competent skills working with Microsoft Office.
Aptitude in learning new computer software packages.
Demonstrated capability in carrying out tasks for a growing organisation
Effective and excellent communication, interpersonal & time management skills
Ability to problem solve, prioritise, and complete work related tasks.
Ability to establish effective and professional working relationships with others.
Able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Skills applicable to implementing new work practices.
Skills applicable to recording and managing data, information.
Ability to manage and direct care staff within the ethos of Adelphi Living.
Understanding of Policies and Procedures & Continuous Improvement.
Understanding Work Health & Safety principles and ensuring these are applied it in the workplace
