**THE POSITION**

We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Yard Supervisor to join our team. This role will support the Transport team in the smooth integration of Rail Yard operations, supervising the Yard Team Members for the effective and timely movement of all vehicles incoming, outgoing and stored in Prixcar compound. This role is suitable for someone who has previous experience in handling Transport/Yard vehicle movements and leading a team.

**What you will do**:

- Allocate labour in line with daily vehicle arrivals/departures; supervise and plan vehicle despatch
- Resource management in line with scheduled service arrivals and forecasts
- Lead and supervise the Rail team in preparation of Rail Wagons loading/unloading, vehicle inspection, surveying, and maintenance
- Set out processes for smooth workflow between the Rail and Transport teams
- Implement training for personnel and monitor skill levels as required
- Set and manage KPI's for the team to ensure Transport goals are met
- Promote a continuous improvement service culture and implement quality principles
- Perform or assist with quality audits and implement any corrective actions where necessary

- Ability to lead and manage a team, experience with team leadership
- A 'manual' driver's (minimum of 3 years) license is essential
- Reliable and a dedicated person with drive and energy
- Show initiative and flexibility in your approach to work
- High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Ability to operate mobile plant equipment.
- A strong understanding of OHS requirements in the workplace
- Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills
