The New Acland Coal Mine (NAC), a thin seam open cut mining operation is owned and managed by New Hope Group. NAC based in Acland, 35km north-west of Toowoomba, has played a key role in the Darling Downs region as an employer and economic contributor since it began operation in October 2002.

**About the role**:
Reporting to the CHPP & Maintenance Manager, we are seeking an experienced, Procurement Supervisor to join the New Acland Mine Team, on a Monday to Friday roster. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring continuous coal production and effective coal delivery.

Broadly, you will be responsible for cost effective and timely delivery of the procurement function for the New Acland Mine Site, ensuring that all company and site policies, procedures and legislative requirements are adhered to, and maintaining supplier relationships and contracts through following procurement best practices. Whilst this is a supervisory role, there is an expectation for the supervisor to provide support to the warehouse officer/s when needed.

**Duties will also include**:

- Leading by example in safety standards and best procurement practices.
- Monitor supplier performance against service level agreements.
- Developing and maintaining strong customer service relationships both internally and externally.
- Planning and forecasting in conjunction with site leaders on strategic procurement requirements.
- Ensure the Legislative, control of dangerous goods, chain of custody and S.D.S. process and procedures are current and adhered to.
- Streamline processes and inventory flows site including minimising non-conformance issues regarding inventory.
- Regularly review supply strategies to assess and mitigate risk.
- Ensure optimal critical stock availability through the changing focus of mine site activities.
- Provide supervision and guidance to procurement personnel.
- Manage, reconcile and report stock and non-stock items through ERP (Movex) system.

**What you’ll need for this role**
- Good computer literacy and experience utilising an ERP system - preferably Movex.
- Considerable experience a similar capacity within the mining industry
- Qualifications in logistics, procurement, or supply chain management
- Current C class driver’s license
- Forklift ticket would be advantageous
