**About the Role**

As a member of our growing team, you will perform analysis on new and emerging threats to Macquarie Government, our Products, and our customers. This is a hands-on role that requires an inquisitive, critical thinking individual who is capable of collecting and analysing data and understanding and articulating those threats to Detection Engineers, SOC Analysts, customers and Senior Management. A deep understanding of the Dark Web and an awareness of the tactics techniques and procedures (TTPs) of advanced persistent threats play a fundamental part of the role.

**You will**
- Build a contextual understanding of each customer’s threat environment
- Monitor ongoing Threat intel and correlate and refine the threat detections relevant in the customer’s SIEM environment.
- You have experience writing threat intelligence reports for technical & management audiences.
- You have a passion for understanding how advanced adversaries operate and their tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs)
- A capable communicator, you are able to engage others in the business at multiple levels to translate threat research into practical recommendations to shape the business
- Identify anomalies, patterns and trends across various data sources using our SIEM platform Splunk and Packet Capture products when required.

**You must**
- You have experience and knowledge of tracking attackers through network and endpoint artifacts.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major SIEM or SOAR technology Splunk preference.
- Experience with OSINT tools such as Shodan
- Have an understanding of existing and an interest in emerging threats that may impact Macquarie Government and its customers in the future.
