In the role of Policy Advisor, you will work in a team that is responsible for ensuring the safety and efficiency of the Queensland transport system.
**Some of your responsibilities will include**: - Analysing and developing policy, legislative, and business solutions to reduce red tape, modernise policy and legislation, and improve road safety. Preparing a range of official government documentation. Providing evidence-based, logical and timely advice to internal and external stakeholders. Developing and maintaining effective networks. Coordinating activities or projects to ensure the effective delivery of policy outcomes.
**Requirements of the role are**: - Ability to take accountability and deliver on agreed outcomes within set timeframes, with persistence in working through obstacles and honest recognition against goals. Ability to identify, analyse and interpret basic policy information and contribute to the development of appropriate policy options or solutions. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and ability to communicate information clearly, succinctly and confidently. Demonstrates respect and appreciation for legislation and policy frameworks, to maintain a high standard of practice through governance and risk management.
