**ABOUT THE ROLE**

A very exciting position has become available at our Clayton Fluid Analysis Laboratory as a **Laboratory Technician**, working afternoon shift (12pm-8pm)**. This position will be key in assisting our laboratory team to provide accurate results and meet our customer expectations for turn-around time.

This role requires the knowledge and skill to operate more complex instruments and methods and ensure that these are conducted under best practices.
- Operate the more complex instruments and methods including ICP, IC, TAN/TBN and KarlFisher
- Conducting all types of analysis
- Striving to continuously achieve day to day operational performance to ensure turnaround times are achieved
- Signing off on calibration and quality checks during batch runs
- Daily care of complex instruments such as cleanliness, reagents and equipment
- Basic troubleshooting on instruments as required

**ABOUT YOU**

**To be considered for this role you will have the following skills, experience and attributes**:

- A Degree in Science or equivalent
- Operational experience within a laboratory environment
- The ability to identify and analyse problems and coming up with solutions
- Be a good listener with the ability to think on your feet
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills including MS Office
- Six Sigma experience or equivalent process improvement would be advantageous
