Disability Support Worker

**Qualifications & experience**
- Experience in disability care especially mental health disorders
- Due to clients specific needs, applicants must be female
- Have an outgoing personality with a good sense of humour
- Have full driving licence and access to a fully insured car
- have a genuine desire to provide the best quality care for people with disabilities
- Have a strong background in mental health
- Be soft-spoken while firm enough to set boundaries according to the protocols and guidelines provided
- Have excellent communication skills and be proficient in English
- Be able to create rapport with the client and provide emotional support with demonstrated effective listening, empathy, and communication skills
- Have previous experience and skills in de-escalation techniques

**Tasks & responsibilities**
- Engaging with her, community access, grocery shopping, going for walks etc.
- Providing emotional support when needed and following the set protocols
- Prompting and assisting in all daily house chores and skill building
- Communicating with her according to her interests and needs
- Write regular reports and collect data for ongoing communication with clients and management
- Drive her to and from appointments

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

Pay: $33.21 - $66.26 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 30 per week
