SAS Systems Expert required for global communications company based in Landsdale, being responsible for all activities that arise in the field of managing the local SAS site and global network services, covering all aspects of operations, maintenance and project management.

Take responsibility for availability of the platforms and networks managed locally by the SAS and the availability of the platforms and networks in the assigned Global Operations Team.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Maintain detailed knowledge of systems and provide support.
- Participate in project tasks and delivery, site acceptance, integration and testing.
- Provide input and changes for operational requirements.
- Update testing and acceptance procedures and roll back plans.
- Manage the network and services.
- Provide support for the SAS site facilities and services.
- Maintain ITIL standard for Change, Incident and Problem Management.
- Coordination & resolution of network problems and traffic restoration.
- Oversee suppliers and site contractor work.
- Perform the processes of network monitoring, provisioning and maintenance.
- Ensure efficient utilisation of network capacity and performance.
- Configure new network elements and systems.
- Prepare and execute configuration changes.
- Report on network and system performance.

**Essential Knowledge and Skills**:

- Knowledge of Telecommunication technology.
- Knowledge of Area, Platform or Network.
- Knowledge of standardised testing and methods.
- Experience in managing activities as part of implementation projects.
- Experience in IP/Networking skillset.
- Knowledge of RF measurements techniques.
- Strong analytical skill necessary for quick troubleshooting and system restoration during emergency.
- Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to share knowledge.
- Competent in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in UNIX and/or Linux OS.
- Knowledge of project management methods and techniques.

This position may require working within a Global Team with Line Management and colleagues at other SAS sites. You will be required to be on call and have flexibility to work outside of hours and travel.
