**The Organisation**

Adelaide Venue Management Corporation (AVM) operates three of Adelaide’s most iconic and commercially successful venues - Adelaide Convention Centre, Adelaide Entertainment Centre and Coopers Stadium.

Due to the impending Maternity Leave of the current Home Ground Manager & Bar Training Coordinator, a fantastic opportunity has now become available for an experienced Hospitality Professional to join our team on a full-time basis, for a minimum 12 month period - commencing asap for an extensive handover.

**The Role**

Reporting to the Floor Operations Manager, the Home Ground Manager & Bar Training Coordinator will be responsible for effectively managing the operations of the Adelaide Convention Centre’s (ACC) Home Ground outlets (restaurant and bar) and the Regattas functions venue (front of house). This position also coordinates the AVM Bars Training Program through face to face and online training delivery, coaching and monitoring, across all AVM Venues.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Management and operations of ACC’s Home Ground outlets, Regattas function space, event space activations, and other areas as required.
- Manage and review the day-to-day operations, including guest relations, service standards, development and implementation of operating procedures, staff grooming, presentation and product knowledge, venue cleanliness, signage placement to maximise new customer capture.
- Work with the Hospitality Training Manager to ensure effective training and coaching is provided to all operational bar staff.
- Responsible for effective and efficient beverage stock movement and controls, all cash/stock variances and ensuring wastage and breakages are recorded and kept to a minimum.
- Recruit and induct new staff for Home Ground and AVM Bars.
- Oversee the preparation of weekly staff rosters for both permanent and casual front of house staff in line with event requirements and training needs across the organisation.

**About you**
- Extensive knowledge of a wide variety of food styles, cuisines and changing food trends.
- A comprehensive knowledge of beverages, wines, cocktails, and bar service.
- Works well under pressure, able to multitask and enjoys the buzz of a fast-paced working environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Flexible, creative, and innovative thinker, with a demonstrated ability to initiate, implement and adapt to change.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to set goals and achieve them.
- Ability to work across a 24 hour / 7-day operation, expectation to be working during the busiest service times, and when major events are within the vicinity, eg Cricket and Football at the Oval
