We are currently recruiting a Zone Substation Electrical Technician, to join our Transmission team. This role has a preferred location of Jindabyne; however, locations of Queanbeyan, Goulburn and Cooma will also be considered.

We are currently recruiting a Zone Substation Electrical Technician, to join our Transmission team.

The Zone Substation Electrical Technician is responsible for construction and maintenance of Zone Substations, inspecting, testing, and reporting the nature and condition of network asset and the installation commissioning and testing of associated Zone Substation and distribution equipment.

This role has a preferred location of Queanbeyan; however, locations of Jindabyne, Goulburn and Cooma will also be considered.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Construction and Maintenance of Zone Substations
- Installation, commissioning and testing of associated Zone Substation and distribution equipment
- Carrying out switching operations associated with both high and low voltage Engineering Services
- Inspecting, testing, and reporting nature and condition of Network assets to maintain quality standards
- Accessing and using computerised systems to operate remote equipmentOperating plant and equipment associated with Zone Substations in a safe manner

**About You**

**Required Qualifications/Skills**
- Current NSW Electricians Licence (Supervisors Certificate)
- Driver’s licence
- WorkCover NSW Construction Induction Certificate
- Diploma in ESI Power Systems with preferred electives in Testing Systems (desirable)
- High voltage, transmission or power systems experience (desirable)
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Basic skills in computer operations
- Sound communication and interpersonal skills to be able to communicate electronically in writing and liaise with stakeholders and customers in an amicable manner.Willingness to travel and work away from home
