**About the role**:
Reporting to the Director of Strategy & Governance, this is an exciting opportunity for a new professional to become part of a fast-paced, corporate team and make a difference. The Communications Coordinator is responsible for a varied portfolio with the following key components:
**Administrative and communications support for the CEO**; content development and specification documentation for external providers; support function for the development of key organisational strategic documents and projects; and development of People and Culture resources under the direction of the Director for Strategy & Governance.

This full-time role is offered as a hybrid location and will require face to face contact in the Brisbane office for two days a week minimum.

You will be responsible for:

- Facilitating, scheduling, and following up actions from a variety of CEO meetings
- Providing a liaison and support function for key corporate communications
- Contributing to the development of a Communications Strategy
- Assisting in content development of communication and marketing campaigns
- Assisting with measuring effectiveness of campaigns
- Management of the existing Document Management System
- Production of the internal quarterly policy publication
- Review, editing and value-adding to corporate documents to ensure a consistent standard across brand, tone, and language
- Identifying integrated communication opportunities and to develop/adapt content
- Contributing to; the identification of emerging or potential communication issues, and the effective management of these issues

**Requirements**:

- Current driving licence
- Access to personal vehicle
- Current Police Check
- Rights to work in Australia

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Recent graduate or early
- Bachelor’s Degree qualification in Public Relations, Communications, Digital Marketing, Journalism, (or equivalent discipline)
- General work experience or intern experience prior to graduation preferred
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite; Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Graduate knowledge of social media, multimedia, SEO, and research skills with the desire for continued professional development

- Able to support senior staff and to ensure communication loops are complete
- Organisational and time management skills, utilising written records to document timelines and processes
- Able to manage multiple priorities with delivery to agreed timelines
- Able to prioritise tasks, is proactive and detail-oriented

- Able to set objectives, timeframes and deliverables for self and others
- Confident to seek clarification and confirm intent of assigned tasks
- Rapid turnaround of routine tasks and responsive to urgent situations

Specialist communication skills
- Able to produce engaging written communications, with an understanding of what effective media and communication strategies and content looks like.
- Complete confidentiality in managing business information and sensitive data
- Confidence to communicate via various media, and to varying audiences

Writing skills
- Able to proof other people’s work, excellent grammar, persuasive text
- Able to write confidently for variety of communication channels
