**The role**

We are currently looking for an intelligent and enthusiastic full-time Paralegal to join our Restructuring, Recoveries & Disputes team. In this role you will need to provide both accurate and timely support to the team, you will be a confident individual with a can-do attitude and excellent communication skills.
You can be based either in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Adelaide.

**Duties**

- Drafting Notices, demands, pleadings and general correspondence
- Drafting statements of claim, judgments, writs of possession
- E-filing of court documents
- Assisting with the general management and running of files to meet client service level requirements and protect our clients' interests on all matters
- Telephone calls and general correspondence with clients, debtors and third parties to progress the files (involves taking instructions, negotiating proposals with debtors)
- Regular follow ups of security packets, process servers, court documents etc.
- Preparing discharge of mortgages and arranging settlement, as required
- Preparing files for eviction
- Identifying complex, sensitive and high risk matters and escalating them to a Lawyer
- Basic clerical duties associated with running your files

**Our requirements**

- Demonstrated ability to take responsibility for running a file
- Strong organisational skills to manage a large number of files at a time and meet deadlines
- Good interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, debtors and internal staff
- A team player, willing to help others when necessary
- Accuracy and attention to detail
